Responsibilities:
- Lead the management, support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications.
- Oversee application development, customization, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance on software architecture, application design, database design, and system integration.
- Ensure that databases are properly designed, optimized, secured, documented, and aligned with application and reporting requirements.
- Supervise database administration activities, including performance tuning, backup, recovery, access control, and data integrity management.
- Work with business units to understand system requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors, developers, and internal stakeholders on application enhancements, issue resolution, and project delivery.
- Ensure proper change management, version control, testing, and release management practices for all application and database changes.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and security of core business applications and databases.
- Support reporting, analytics, data extraction, and management information requirements across the organization.
- Maintain proper documentation of application architecture, database structures, integrations, procedures, and support processes.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, data protection requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical applications and databases.

- Percentage of approved application development and enhancement projects delivered within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Percentage of application requirements properly documented, reviewed, and signed off before development or implementation.
- First-time pass rate during system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment validation.
- Number of critical or major defects identified within 30 days after application deployment.
- Uptime of critical business applications maintained in line with approved Service Level Agreements.
- Database uptime, performance, and query response time maintained within approved operational thresholds.

Minimum Education and Work Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in software development, database administration, project management, ITIL, or related areas are preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of application development frameworks, database design principles, SQL, reporting tools, and system integration.
- At least five to seven years of relevant experience in application development, database management, application support, or business systems management, with some supervisory or project leadership experience.
